Qualifications:
  • At minimum, a Master’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics.
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages:
    • C++.
    • Visual Basic.
    • .NET.
  • Strong knowledge of Linear Programming.
  • Work on Neural Networks a plus.
  • Must be self-motivated, self-directed and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop math routines for solving advanced mathematical and optimization problems in the areas of reliability, quality and statistical analysis.
  • Formulate new mathematical and statistical models in the areas of reliability, quality and statistical analysis.
  • Work with computer scientists in incorporating math routines into the general product.

ReliaSoft is seeking a qualified individual to provide subject matter expertise in the area of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) in order to 1) facilitate the ongoing development of ReliaSoft’s FMEA software (Xfmea), 2) assist ReliaSoft’s Sales and Technical Support staff with customer inquiries related to FMEA/Xfmea and 3) contribute to ReliaSoft’s FMEA/Xfmea training and consulting program.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with reliability engineering practices, especially Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and related analyses. This may include Design FMEA, Process FMEA, FMECA, DRBFM, Control Plans, Design Verification Plans, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both software developers and reliability engineering practitioners.
  • Proficiency in learning and using Windows-based software applications.
  • Must be self-motivated, self-directed and possess strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge regarding the best practices and published standards for FMEA and related analyses, as they are applied in a wide variety of industries.
  • Achieve expertise with the use of ReliaSoft’s Xfmea software and effectively demonstrate the software’s functionality to customers.
  • Participate in the ongoing development of the Xfmea software by:
    • Identifying, evaluating and prioritizing business requirements for new/modified functionality.
    • Providing high-level functional specifications for specific features.
    • Performing functionality and usability testing.
  • Provide theoretical assistance to ReliaSoft’s Sales and Technical Support staff for questions on FMEA, the Xfmea software and related topics. This includes, but may not be limited to:
    • Answering questions posed by Sales and Tech Support staff.
    • Communicating directly with customers who require Tier 2/Tier 3 level support.
    • Conducting guided demonstrations of the software (usually via Web conference).
    • Responding to functionality questions that typically accompany a Request for Quotation (RFQ).
  • Perform a central role in ReliaSoft’s FMEA/Xfmea training and consulting program by:
    • Maintaining and improving existing training materials.
    • Instructing training seminars. (Some travel may be required.)
    • Completing specific consulting projects when needed.
  • Prepare newsletter articles, FAQs and other publications on the subject and/or the software.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
