How far ahead do I need to register for a course?
In general, the sooner the better. Certain seminars do get sold out. Therefore, it would be best to register as soon as you have made your decision to attend.

Some courses have prerequisites. How important are the prerequisites?
Very. Even though we will allow you to sign up for a course without having attended the prerequisite course(s), we strongly advise against it. Courses with prerequisites are continuations of, or built upon, the prerequisite course(s). Furthermore, our instructors assume that the prerequisite knowledge is present and, to be fair to all, will not regress and cover prerequisite material.

I have already taken one of your courses a few years back...  Should I take it again?
Definitely. As with everything in technology (and especially when it comes to software), technologies, tools and methods are continuously refined and updated. To stay current, we recommend that you periodically refresh your knowledge by attending a newer version of the same course. Our Retain program allows you to register for any course you previously attended at a 50% discount.

Will the seminar be held at ReliaSoft's R&D facility?
No. Please review the information page specific to your seminar for location information.

Are class materials sent to attendees prior to the event?
No. If you wish to familiarize yourself with the material, in-depth coverage of the topic (including eTextbooks) can be found at weibull.com. You can also download a training guide and evaluation copy of the software to familiarize yourself before the event.

Do you offer discounts on training combined with a software purchase?
Bundle purchase options are available for selected software and corresponding training.

Who is the instructor?
Depending on the course and instructor schedules, ReliaSoft will assign an instructor from the current instructor pool.

If I register for a course, do I need to make room reservations at the hotel?
Yes. Even though we usually block rooms at the hotel where the training is being held (at special rates), we do not make individual hotel reservations. You will need to contact the hotel and make your own reservations.

Can I use my own laptop?
Yes. We do encourage you to bring your own laptop. If you do not have the appropriate software already installed, we will provide educational (expiring) versions of the tools. If you need us to install the tools, then you need to make sure that your company IT allows for such installations on your laptop. If you are not sure, please contact your IT department.

What is your substitution/cancellation/transfer policy?

  • Substitutions: Substitutions are allowed provided that ReliaSoft is notified prior to the seminar start date.

  • Cancellations: Cancellations received up to 10 working days prior to the seminar start date will be entitled to a full refund of the registration. After this period, all cancellations will be subject to the entire registration fee. If purchasing a Bundle, cancellations are not allowed; you may only transfer.

  • Transferring: You may transfer your registration to an upcoming scheduled seminar by notifying ReliaSoft at any time prior to the seminar start date. You may transfer once at no cost. A fee will be assessed for each additional transfer.

  • ReliaSoft Cancellation: ReliaSoft reserves the right to cancel the seminar at any time up to 2 weeks prior to its start date. In the event of ReliaSoft canceling, all registration fees will be refunded in full. ReliaSoft is not responsible for any other charges, such as non-refundable airline tickets.

Do scheduled seminars ever get cancelled/rescheduled?
Although we reserve the right to cancel/reschedule a seminar, this rarely happens. To date, and with the exception of seminars scheduled in September/October of 2001, ReliaSoft has never cancelled/rescheduled a public seminar in the United States.

What is included in the seminar fee?
The seminar fee includes seminar attendance with lectures provided by an experienced pool of instructors, handout materials (lecture notes and software training guides), evaluation copies of applicable software, continental breakfast and refreshments. A certificate noting the skills achieved is granted upon completion of each course.

Can I get CEUs/REUs?
Yes. Attendees are eligible for 0.1 Educational Units per contact hour.
